This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Not really, but I will perhaps be uploading more. Now that I have a netbook, Kerkythea and sketchup are portable so I can do renders on the go. I'm actually doing loads, but not uploading anything.
hey, i have another request. can you please rip the mario crew from mario golf 64 or or mario tennis 64 and send them to me in skp format, or tell me how to rip models and textures from n64, and convert them please?
Sorry for the late reply, but I'm working on it. They don't have many textures, so it should be easy, but it won't be 100% accurate by any means, and they won't be in a T pose.
hey man, i have a problem. you know those yoshis story ripped sprites of yours? well they appear fine in the windows picture and fax viewer and gimp, but when i edit them in paint, it adds a black backround to the sprite, and it adds all this junk around the edges. any suggestions?
The images are transparent, and Paint does not support transparencies. The junk around the edges is part-transparent and is thus a different color. Try using GIMP on the selected image and just fill the transparent area with white. This would take a while if you do it with all of them, so I suggest just getting Paint.NET [link] it's like GIMP but much easier to use.
hey, can i ask one more favor of you please? can you please tell me how texturing in sketchup works? i recently got ssbb character trophy models and i want to texture them. i already have the textures, i just need to know how to apply them. i can send them to you if you want them.
It's quite hard and takes a long time. First, select import, and import the textures. Then explode the square with the texture on it and delete it. Then use the paint bucket to apply the texture to all of the model. Then you need to right click each polygon and adjust their texture accordingly.
hello, it's me again. just wandering, what program are you using for posing your 3d models? also, i tried using blender for animations and such, but its really confusing. its interface is to hard for begginers like me to use. any other suggestions?
Well I use Sketchup but it is extremely hard for posing as it does not support skeletons etc. so I have to make a selection of polygons and move them 1 direction at a time (Like rotating it left and right first etc) Blender is actually easy to use you just need to figure out the controls. The best was to pose in Sketchup is to make all of the parts you want to move components, like the Yoshi that I gave you has. Lets say you want to move an arm. Explode the body and then the main arm, then select his hand and use the rotate tool.
No but what can anim8or import? (If anything) I can convert a skp to 3ds, ac, dxf, fbx, dae, off, x, lwo, mot, and more, although it doesn't support textures. Also, if you want a great free 3D animator, try Blender.
Sort of... First you need to make sure the model has no components (everything is exploded) then you should change any textures to solid coloring, then you export it to a KMZ (Just export>3D model) rename the KMZ to ZIP and open it. Extract the DAE model from the "Model" folder and use the Collada 1.4 importer to import it. Press A to select everything and then S to scale it, as it will be very large.
